IDS was contracted to design a concept for the Core plan Cookbook for Weight Watchers Australia. The brief was very specific and consisted on numerous design restrictions and requests. The cookbook was flat planned to have chapters throughout suited to different types of food. This important separation of chapters was achieved visually using a customised patterned background that was retained in each section. Each chapter having a slightly different colour to the pattern. IDS also was required to bring a personal Weight Watchers customer connection into the cookbook and this was cleverly achieved with spontaneous, randomly placed back and white photos though out the cookbook, not necessarily relating to food. IDS mocked up the cookbook showcasing the entire look and feel. When the live concept was approved IDS was contracted to work with an Editor from Text Pacific to roll out the entire cookbook. This process included, briefing photographers and stylists. Attending initial shoot set up. All design process, proof sign off and press checks.
